“…intelligent, weird, dark, funny, deep, disturbing, shocking…all the things I look for in a good book.”

I was hooked on “Time Framed” by Roger Chiocchi right from the beginning and it kept my attention throughout which is seriously impressive considering I frequently get bored reading novels ¼ the size! It was intelligent, weird, dark, funny, deep, disturbing, shocking…all the things I look for in a good book. I thought the different timelines/storylines and the character development to be nicely done and thought out, and I liked the whole concept of exploring the alternate ‘realities’ one could experience and if it is necessarily better or worse or how it changes… or what it all means and the ramifications. Was interesting to travel around the different timelines to see what is the same and what changes… to be there ourselves first hand and experience the events as they unfold. I can see some people becoming frustrated with the lack of linear progression toward a singular time in the future as most books do – this one will bounce around a lot – but it is easy enough to keep the eras straight as we read along. Time-travel is a tricky trope to pull off, and I feel like this level of complexity could have easily ended up badly, but instead I darn near gobbled the whole book down in just shy of a week (fast for me!) The editing is near flawless, and even though I didn’t initially like the ending, it does fit well I suppose. This book will stay with me for a long time, and in a good way. Recommend for fans of drama and Sci/Fi – time travel books. Kaylee Goodreads; Indie Book Reviewers
